Meet Dr Emma Burniston

Experience abroad. Home in the Highlands.

For Dr Emma Burniston, U Chiropractic represents the next chapter of a chiropractic career spanning more than 15 years.

A graduate of Macquarie University, Emma spent approximately 14 years practising in London, including building and leading a successful multidisciplinary practice in Battersea — an area well known for its young families.

During that time, family care became an important part of Emma's work. She regularly cared for parents, babies and children and ran educational workshops supporting mums and babies.

Emma has continued her professional education throughout her career and is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association (ICPA). Her training includes the Webster Technique, Thompson Technique and MyoMunchee, alongside experience with a range of chiropractic approaches including Diversified, Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Applied Kinesiology and Activator.

Coming home

After many years in London, Emma returned to the Southern Highlands with her young family and began practising in Moss Vale.

Creating U Chiropractic gave Emma the opportunity to build the kind of practice she believes in — personal, welcoming and centred around relationships.

A practice where she can get to know the individuals and families she cares for and be part of the community in which her own family lives.

Beyond the practice

When she's not in practice, Emma is usually experiencing the same juggling act as many of her patients... raising two energetic children while finding time for running, Pilates, horse riding and, whenever the opportunity presents itself, skiing or snowboarding.

She understands busy families because she's part of one.

She understands wanting to remain active because she is active.

And she believes good care starts by listening to the person sitting in front of her.
